#613 Blonde Raw Hair
THE “RAW” ASTERISK (*)
In this industry, ‘Raw’ is often used as a marketing buzzword for ‘Magic.’ We prefer Accuracy.
When we say Raw Hair, we refer to the Source Material. Our Orange Line begins as healthy, chemically unprocessed donor hair. That said, light processing is often necessary for the creation of textures and lace products to maximize longevity.
- Steam Styling: When you force a curl pattern onto straight, cuticle-aligned hair, you create a relative 360° cuticle direction. If we skipped processing to keep the “Raw” label, the hair would snag and tangle constantly. Thus, steam styling is often preceded by light processing. This makes the hair much easier to maintain and reduces client complaints by 90%.
- Return Hairs (The “Short Hairs”): For closures and frontals, each strand is hand-tied to the lace. The knot is somewhere in the middle, and both ends come out at the same side of the lace. This creates a long piece and a short piece (a return hair that is approx. 4 inches). Because the strand is basically doing a U-turn, the cuticles are mechanically inverted. This means without processing, closures and frontals would tangle in the return hair area.
The Bottom Line: Technically, only our straight bundles are fully raw; other textures and lace products aren’t 100% raw. But our priority is maximizing hair health while minimizing user problems. It is the best hair you can confidently buy for yourself and sell to your clients.
