Our Black Line hair straight extensions are often marketed as Virgin Hair in the Chinese market. However, they are actually remy machine-aligned human hair. This means that the hair wasn’t cut directly from a donor and that the cuticles of the human hair were aligned with a non-remy to remy machine. Though not all cuticles align perfectly – even a mere 5% misalignment can lead to tangling – there’s a solution.

To counter this, the hair undergoes an acid bath to enhance smoothness. This is why this type of hair has different qualities than hair directly cut from a donor. Q: What’s the origin of your Black Line straight hair extensions?

Our Black Line bundles are crafted from Chinese hair of Chinese origin. Chinese hair is naturally coarse and thick, making it more resilient to processing than finer hair types. This makes our Black Line bundles top-quality remy machine-aligned hair within the market.

Q: Are these single-drawn or double-drawn straight hair extensions?

A: These are single-drawn bundles. In China, most single-drawn hair only has a fullness of roughly 10-12%. This means that of a 24″ bundle, only 10-12% is actually 24″. Other lengths are different lengths mixed in.

Q: Which should I choose: Black Line straight hair extensions or Orange Line?

A: Both offer favorable qualities, but it’s important to set realistic expectations. Black Line hair provides impressive quality within its category while being cheaper than most of our competitors. But it doesn’t bleach past 27, will frizz up when washed requiring some frizz control, and has a reduced lifespan compared to Orange Line. If you prefer to invest in something long-term, it’s probably worth it to invest in Orange Line, as you’re getting more than double the lifespan for a 70-80% price increase. And if you’re looking for affordable hair extensions, this is a great option.

Q: Can your Black Line straight hair extensions be bleached to #27/#613?

While we had clients who were able to bleach our Black Line bundles to #613, we ourselves haven’t been able to do so. We prefer to put the limit at #27, as anything lighter will lead to thinner, unhealthy hair which will ultimately shed.

Q: How long can I expect my Black Line straight hair extensions to last?

A: It’s hard to say exactly how long hair will last because it depends on different factors like how it’s taken care of. But for these types of extensions, it will last up to 1 year.
